Healthcare & Life Sciences

Software for organizations where a defect is never just a bug.

Most of our healthcare work shares a shape: an organization whose public face has to carry clinical, research, and administrative content at once, under accessibility and privacy constraints that generalist vendors discover too late.

We've built and sustained platforms for an academic health system, a global vaccine research nonprofit, a university public-health center, and a national employer-health certification program. The common thread is longevity: healthcare systems outlive vendor relationships, so we build them to be operated, audited, and extended by whoever comes after us.

What keeps going wrong

The problems this sector actually brings us.

Compliance discovered late

Accessibility and privacy requirements that surface during launch review instead of during design cost multiples to retrofit. We carry WCAG AA and privacy constraints from the first architecture conversation, because we've done the retrofit for others and would rather not do it for you.

Many departments, one platform

Health systems publish through dozens of departments with different needs and a single brand to protect. Multi-site architecture with shared components, the pattern behind our Duke Health work, lets departments move independently without the platform fragmenting.

Science that has to read

Research organizations need complex science communicated to donors, policymakers, and the public without dumbing it down. That's a content-architecture problem before it's a design problem, and it's the one we solved for IAVI.

Workflow rigor moved online

Certification and review processes lose their credibility if the software softens them. The Cancer Gold Standard application platform carries multi-stage audit workflows online with the rigor intact.
